Psalm 62 - For those in Waiting

In this Psalm we connect with the Father in our place of waiting.  We remind ourselves that waiting on him to move, even if that means sitting in silence for awhile, is the safest place to be.  We remember that what we really want is to stay close to our rock and fortress, and keep asking him to fill us up with hope when we are running dry.  We breathe deep the confidence that comes from resting on him as our source for all we need.

Psalm 56 - When I am Afraid

In this episode, we find comfort in Psalm 56. We talk to the Lord about how we sometimes feel everyone is against us, just waiting for us to fail. We admit to him how easily we fall into fear. We remind our souls that men have no power over the real us (our spirit), so we shift our trust back on the Lord. Here we find our fears quieting, and love and peace gaining entrance to our hearts again.

Psalm 55 - Betrayal

In this episode we connect with God over Psalm 55 in the raw feelings of betrayal.  In him we find we can cast off all our burdens and vent to him like a friend.  We find a safe place in our Savior who also has felt the sting of betrayal, and we are comforted.

Psalm 46 - Our River and Strong Tower

In this episode we dive into Psalm 46 and the truth about our God.  Even when the whole earth seems to shake and everything we know changes completely, we don't have to fear.  We have an impenetrable fortress and a river that makes us glad, ever flowing on the inside.  We are reminded and agree with this scripture, that we need only be still and God will be exalted among the nations.  He rules and reigns, so we are safe.

Psalm 42 - For the Downcast Soul

In Psalm 42, we connect with God over our downcast soul.  We talk to him and to our own souls, to remember who God is and who he has been in our lives.  We invite him to wash over our tired and despairing souls with perfect love, and look to him to be hope when our souls have forgotten what hope looks like.

Psalm 34 - Deliverer From All Troubles

In this episode we read Psalm 34 and our faith rises.  We remember all the times the Lord delivered us again and again and again, and we know this time will be no different.  We thank him for never leaving us, and because of that our faces are radiant, never covered in shame.

Psalm 33 - Unfailing Love

In this episode we soak in the truth of Psalm 33.  We renew our minds to the revelation that the whole earth is filled with Unfailing Love.  We are surrounded by it, completely immersed in Love.  We talk to God about how much we need him for stability and strength.  As we admit our need for him and his resources, we find fresh hope for the future.  

Psalm 31 - Friend of the Lonely

In this episode we cry out to God from that lonely place in our hearts, that place that has felt wrongly accused and avoided by even friends.  We ask God to come in to that raw place and stand up for us and deliver us.  We look to him to set the record straight and restore us, the way only he can.  

Psalm 29 - God Over All

In this episode, we read and pray out Psalm 29.  As we do, our minds are renewed to the power of our God, not of ourselves.  We invite the voice of the Lord to come and break anything in our lives that doesn't belong there, and we magnify him over anything else that we have been preoccupied with.  

Psalm 27 - Confident

In Psalm 27, we cry out to God from a needy and dangerous place in life.  We tell him all the reasons we feel afraid, yet at the same time, we confidently say he is our help and stronghold.  We remember who he is, and because of that we know he will save us and protect us.  We expectantly look for his goodness in the land of the living!
